The National Heritage Board (NHB) launched its 16th heritage trail in late January. Featuring over 40 heritage sites, with 18 heritage markers across 4km, the Little India Heritage Trail is the first to offer thematic sub-trails — Serangoon in the 1900s, Walk of Faiths, and Shop Till You Drop — specially curated to cater to specific interests. Self-guided trails start at the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC). Download the brochure and map from NHB’s heritage portal,, or pick up copies at IHC. In the pipeline: guided tours and a new Bluetooth mobile pilot that gives trail-goers access to even more information and pictures at each heritage marker via their mobile devices.
