Many of us love the arts but can’t afford the time or don’t know where to start. Here’s a nifty guide of handpicked events which should give you a good flavour of Singapore’s busy arts scene.

If you love all things designer, listen up. SINGAPLURAL is back for a 4th edition with a diverse spectrum from Architectural design to Fashion. Enthusiasts can look forward to an inspirational selection of creative talks, studio tours and contemporary design exhibitions.

A survivor of the American prison system, charismatic Cambodian tattoo artist and poet Kosal Khiev shares how you can transform poetry to performance by reaching into your memories, feelings and imagination.

Bet you didn’t know we had this many short films in Singapore. No less than 145 films will be screened over 7 days at The Projector, the way cool independent cinema housed on Beach Road.

Here’s another chance to catch theatre director Goh Boon Teck’s fascinating account of this mother’s life, from kampong girl to Hokkien Opera star. Performed in Mandarin with a colorful mix of dialects, Titoudao is a moving tribute to street opera.

Every nosy neighbour’s dream comes true in this not-to-be-missed art walkabout – OH! Open House Joo Chiat takes you behind closed doors into homes and establishments of this colorful enclave. It’s a heritage walk with one-of-a-kind art installations plonked in for good measure.
