Masters from Three Generations (1 – 6 November) will host a collection of artworks by 15 local artists across three generations whose creations are beautifully illustrated across various art media such as oil, acrylic, ink and watercolor. The curated display of artworks chart Singapore’s artistic journey while highlighting the individualistic styles and techniques of the artists. The artworks range from rich and vivid tones depicting streetscapes, noisy marketplaces, beautiful and wild florals, to delicate yet powerful tones that bring out the subtle moods of nostalgia and culture through landscapes and calligraphy. The exhibition will also display art pieces by watercolourists such as first generation master Lim Cheng Hoe, Ong Kim Seng and Low Puay Hua, who have all built an interest in the archaic medium amongst local artists from senior to young talents alike.
