Event Details

The two-day conference will focus on the role of traditional Bharatanatyam in fostering identity in modern multicultural Asian societies. Featuring presentations and panel discussions from leading practitioners and academics from Singapore and the region, the conference will explore the issues of conflict and convergence in topics such as identity and relevance, the development of curriculum and new methods for Indian dance education, the role of technology and the critical shift in perspectives needed to take Bharatanatyam to its next level.
