In the third part of our Salon Saturday @ TCS series we bring the focus closer to home: South-east Asian art. The end of the year leading into January is always the season of art fairs, biennales and art festivals in Singapore and the region. With the onset of the sheer amount of art to see, how does one navigate the “new” waters to understand how to appreciate and collect regional art? Should one approach the S.E.A. market the same as one would for their Western counterpart?
Joined by founder of Yeo Workshop, Audrey Yeo who is also the Project Director of the upcoming S.E.A Focus, she will elucidate why S.E.A. is the next trending global art market/scene and how timely it is for a platform such as S.E.A. Focus to foster deeper appreciation and increased demand for Southeast Asian modern and contemporary art.
