Singapore’s richest literary prize is open for submissions.
Standing at $25,000 for the winner and $5,000 each for three shortlisted finalists, the Epigram Books Fiction Prize (EBFP) is the richest literary prize for original, unpublished works of English fiction. Established in 2015, the EBFP promotes contemporary Singapore creative writing and is open to all Singaporeans, permanent residents and Singapore-born authors. Submitted manuscripts must be at least 40,000 words long. This year’s judging panel includes Singapore Literature Prize-winning author/poet Cyril Wong and Prof Barbara Ryan from the National University of Singapore. The closing date for submissions is 1 August. Results will be announced at a gala dinner in November.
