Singapore Art Museum’s annual family-friendly contemporary art exhibition recently revealed its theme – Imaginarium: To the Ends of the Earth. Explorers of all ages are invited to take a closer look at our surroundings and the environments we reside in through immersive, tactile and interactive artworks by nine artists.

“This year’s edition invites visitors to reflect on Earth’s magnificent marvels, and to contemplate our relationship with our every-changing environment,” says Ms Tan Siuli, Curatorial Co-Head, Singapore Art Museum.

Highlight works include Singaporean artist Calvin Pang’s Where am I, where clusters of tiny mushrooms are hidden away in corners of the museum, as well as Vietnamese artist UuDam Tran Nguyen’s LICENSE 2 DRAW, a robotic drawing machine that is operated by anyone around the world through an app.

The exhibition will be held from 6 May to 27 August 2017 at SAM at 8Q. Look out for a more detailed online feature on Imaginarium soon in The A List!
