GETTING CRE-EGG-TIVE FOR CHARITY

Artists and celebrities do good by auctioning their painted eggs.

Award-winning sculptor and Cultural Medallion recipient Chng Seok Tin, calligrapher Yong Cheong Thye and street artist Samantha Lo are just some of the local and regional artists who will be painting 50 SG50 commemorative eggs for a charity auction.

Organised by the Sentosa HarbourFront Business Association, The Great Egg-Venture is raising funds for Very Special Arts (VSA) Singapore, a charity that provides people with disabilities the opportunity to access the arts for rehabilitation and social integration.

Joining the list of artist egg-painters are celebrity hairstylist David Gan (right), singer Nathan Hartono (below) and Elim Chew, entrepreneur and founder of 77th Street, among others. Members of the public can bid online (www.thegreateggventure.com) for their egg
of choice from 14 March to 5 April.

The Great Egg-Venture closing ceremony is held at S.E.A. Aquarium, Resorts World Sentosa, 18 April, 7.30pm. It’s a private event, but those interested to attend can purchase tickets from VSA, www.vsa.org.sg.
