The School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA) commemorates its 10th anniversary this year with the best performance by its International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) students since it pioneered the programme in 2014. Over 90 per cent of the IBCP 2017 cohort achieved excellence in their examinations, scoring at least two As for career-related studies, and at least a grade 6 in two diploma programme subjects. Past IBCP graduates have gone on to pursue the arts at internationally acclaimed institutions. Among them, three students, Nur Sabrina Bte Dzulkifli, Samuel Phua and Nur Aqilah Binte Hassan, are recipients of the National Arts Council scholarship. SOTA Year 5 and Year 6 students can opt for a career-related or diploma programme (IBDP) track. In 2017, 131 students sat for the IBDP examinations and achieved 100 per cent pass rate, with eight in 10 scoring 35 points and above.
