Singapore-based travel host Henry Golding has been cast in his first-ever feature film.

Singapore-based travel host Henry Golding has been cast in his first-ever feature film: the highly-anticipated film adaptation of best-selling novel Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan.

In this story that revolves around wealthy Singaporean families, Golding will play Nick Young, alongside Fresh Off the Boat actress Constance Wu, who plays his American-born Chinese girlfriend and Michelle Yeoh who plays his controlling mother.

The cast will be all Asian, and director Jon M. Chu has been on a worldwide search to find people to cast for Crazy Rich Asians. Chu has directed movies such as Step Up 2: The Streets, and G.I. Joe Retaliation.

Golding described this role as “an absolute dream come true” on his social media accounts. “Literally bursting at the seams in anticipation!” he also wrote.
