It’s Singapore’s birthday month and what better way to show some love for our nation than shopping? The popular Singapasar organised by The Farm Store is back for its third run, selling a wide range of unique locally designed products that showcase Singaporean identity and culture. Some of the products being sold include furniture, food, apparel, bags and accessories. Here are six local products we’d love to add to our Singapasar shopping carts!

S$120 for a set of 5; cushions also sold individually

This series of five cushions featuring Singapore’s iconic cityscape will be launched at Singapasar by The Farm Store! The pillows are double-sided, with each side showing a different perspective of Singapore. This makes a perfect snuggly souvenir for visiting friends and family.

THE MERBABY

S$35

Another product by The Farm Store that’s making a Singapasar debut. Not only will this adorable bib turn your baby into a mini Singapore icon, it’s also great for wiping up the expected drool and mush that will be spewed out.

PENG KUEH COASTER

S$12.90 for a set of 2

A favourite local savoury snack is transformed into a pretty pink coaster by Red Republic. The coasters also bring along some ‘huat’ (good luck) given that this kueh traditionally symbolises longevity. Perfect for a housewarming gift!

FLORAL GRILLE OTTOMAN

S$350

Onlewo offers a range of bespoke furnishings with that delightful touch of local heritage. Give your home a nostalgic touch with their latest ottoman upholstered with vintage grilles prints. They also sell other furnishings such as wallpaper, tiles and cushions.

CHILLI CRAB SAUCE BOTTLE

S$8 for 1, S$14 for 2

Fish Sh-nak’s latest offering is the Chilli Crab Sauce Bottle using fresh ingredients with no preservatives and artificial flavourings. It’ll go perfectly with their packaged crispy fish skin, and why not pick up their salted egg sauce while you’re at it as well?

ROJAKMAMA – MILO DINOSAUR

S$22.90

Get crafty with wheniwasfour’s vinyl toy series, Rojakamama, which are inspired by local snacks. The canvas is plain, so you can paint to your own collectible figure any way you want. Besides the Milo Dinosaur, they also sell kueh lapis, ang ku kueh and fancy gem biscuit kits for this Rojakmama series. This is a perfect way for children or tourists to engage with local culture in a fun and creative way.
