FREE SCREENINGS OF “GONE SHOPPING” AT ARTSCIENCE MUSEUM

Published on 27 September 2017

There will be special 10th anniversary screening of acclaimed local film “Gone Shopping” by Wee Li Lin at the ArtScience Museum from October 1 to 8. The film will be screened twice daily at 2.30pm and 5pm and admission is FREE!

“Gone Shopping” is a whimsical tale about a ‘tai tai’ (trophy wife) who ends up lingering around shopping centres for days and crosses paths with several people who accompany her through a journey of love, loss and liberation.

This special screening is part of Marina Bay Sands expanding its ongoing collaboration with the Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF), one of the resort’s designated charities. There are plans to host a series of year-round cultured activities that aim to grow the film and art audience in Asia and beyond.

There will also be an In Conversations With dialogue session with the filmmaker Wee, cast member Sonya Nair and NUS Sociology Professor Chua Beng Huat on October 7. Click here to register for this talk.
