A musical legacy will be handed down in this upcoming concert in November! Aptly titled String A Legacy, the concert will feature Singapore’s internationally renowned violinist, Min Lee, and her protégé 12-year old Samuel Tan making his debut at Esplanade concert hall!
This benefit concert for The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, that is aptly titled String a Legacy, will see Samuel in Mendelssohn’s well-known and attractive Violin Concerto in E Minor while Min Lee will take on Wieniawski’s virtuosic Fantasia on Themes from Gonoud’s Faust. Guest performer Japanese mezzo soprano Seia Lee will perform favourite arias from Bizet’s Carmen.
Keeping in the spirit of the concert, the two violinists will perform with the Wolfgang Sinfonietta Orchestra, a community orchestra conducted by Maestro Juan Felipe Milano. 100 young gifted violinists and cellists from the Wolfgang Young Artists Orchestra all also take the stage to perform Grieg’s Holberg Suite and their arrangement of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy.
String A Legacy is a benefit concert for The Business Times Budding Artists Fund to nurture the artistic talents of financially-disadvantaged children and youth in Singapore.
