1961 is pleased to present More or Less There, an exhibition of new works by Matt Calderwood.
Matt Calderwood (b. 1975, Northern Ireland) lives and works in London, UK. He currently has work in the Drawing Biennial, Drawing Room (2017) and in the upcoming show, Generation Loss: 10 Years Julia Stoschek Collection, Julia Stoschek Collection, Dusseldorf (2017). His recent solo exhibitions include Matt Calderwood, HS Projects, London, UK (2017), White Noise, Farbvision, Berlin, Germany (2016), Breather, Noshowspace, London, UK (2015), Interrupted Projections, Sommer & Kohl, Berlin, Germany, Exposure, De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill-on-Sea, UK (2013) and Paper Over The Cracks, BALTIC 39, UK (2013). He has also exhibited in several group shows including, Dusk to Dusk: Unsettled, Unravelled, Unreal, Vicki Myhren Gallery, University of Denver, CO, USA (2017), Precarious Balance, CoCA (Centre of Contemporary Art), Christchurch, New Zealand (2016) and More Konzeption Conception Now, Museum Morsbroich, Leverkusen, Germany (2015).
In 2013, he was featured in Frieze Art Fair London’s Sculpture Park which included artists such as Joan Miró, Rachel Whiteread, Yinka Shonibare MBE and Jeppe Hein.
He is represented by Wilkinson Gallery, London.
Matt Calderwood: More or Less There opens on Friday 21 April and runs through Friday 16 June 2017. The exhibition is open from 1-6pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and Sunday to Thursday by appointment.
