1961 is pleased to present
1961 is pleased to present Gary Woodley: Impingement no. 67 a solo exhibition of a new site specific work from London-based artist Gary Woodley’s Impingement series.
Woodley has been working on the Impingement series for over 30 years. The earlier works were simple three-dimensional geometries inspired by the formation of soap films. Later, more complex structures were possible after the introduction of computer generated sketches. He has exhibited these extensively across Europe including France, Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
For his exhibition at 1961, Woodley has continued his exploration into various circumscribed platonic volumes which he has been developing for the Folkestone Triennial which opens in September 2017.
Gary Woodley (b. 1953) lives and works in London, UK.
