2042 is a double-bill theatre
2042 is a double-bill theatre performance presented by Patch and Punnet. Patch and Punnet is a Singaporean independent collective formed by very driven Millennials.
It has been 24 years since the Millennials survived a war no one thought they would. A war that destroyed half of Singapore and wiped out 86% of our people. A war that proved everything changes, but love always endures.
[A Mother’s Love]
Nothing compares to a mother’s love. This is especially true for this Mother and Son who have been through the hellfire of war. Their love is selfless, sacrificial, and undying. But it certainly isn’t perfect. The war may long be over, but they’re still fighting a battle of their own, struggling to resolve a classic dilemma —“how many lines are you prepared to cross in the name of love?”
Aaron and Aymee first met because of a…technical problem. Not exactly a romantic beginning, but it only seemed natural for the first year associate lawyer and the exceptionally intelligent woman to fall in love—and they did. Everything was perfect, save for one tiny fact that could turn them into the iconic star-crossed lovers of the future.
