Here’s something to look forward to in 2018! The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) will be putting up a fortnightly local music showcase called TGIF Music Station every first and third Fridays of each month in their bid to promote local arts and culture.

Performers include Project Superstar winner Kelvin Chen, xinyao singer Pan Ying, getai princess Lee Pei Fen and popular singer-songwriter Ling Kai. Croon along to familiar tunes from pop hits, xinyao, TV drama theme songs, and yesteryear’s classics.

There will be two sessions per show day at 12.30pm and 7.30pm at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre at 1 Straits Boulevard. Admission is free!

The first one kicks off on Fri, 5 Jan 2018, with Lee Pei Fen, Lin Si Tong and Tay Kewei x Alfred Sim performing as a duet.

“Through TGIF Music Station, we hope to provide a regular platform for local artistes to showcase their talents, to make the performing arts accessible to working adults, and to inject greater cultural vibrancy in the Central Business District,” said Lee Ee Wurn, Programmes Director of SCCC.
