The 2017 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix is not just for racing fans. In fact, the action off the track is just as exciting with some of the world’s most successful music stars forming the event’s entertainment line-up.

These pop rock superstars are best known for their 2013 hit single “Counting Stars” which reached #1 in 54 countries. Their latest 2016 album “Oh My My” debuted at #3 on the US Billboard 200. Fans can also enjoy their other hit radio anthems such as “If I Lose Myself” and “Love Runs Out”.

DURAN DURAN

The iconic British band is back and they’re stopping by Singapore while on a world tour of their critically acclaimed “Paper Gods” album. They have sold over 100 million records since their debut in 1981. Fans can look forward to their classics such as “Ordinary World” and “Save a Prayer”.

The prolific pop singer known for her powerful vocals will perform for her first time in Singapore. Ariana Grande has won 39 music awards with two chart-topping albums “Yours Truly” and “My Everything”. In 2016, she was one of Time 100’s Most Influential People in the World.

The Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artiste will close the race weekend at the Padang Stage. Calvin Harris has collaborated with international stars such as Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Pharrell William, and has multiple dance hits such as “Summer” and “My Way”.

LOCAL ACTS

This year, a record number of homegrown musicians will be involved in the fringe entertainment line-up to complement the festivities at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Local hip-hop boys ShiGGa Shay and THE LIONCITYBOY will be in the house, and Singaporean powerhouse songstresses such as Vandetta, Sam Rui and Tabitha Nauser are making appearances as well. There will also be local indie acts Stopgap and Aarika Lee & The Next Movement, along with Zouk resident deejays Ghetto, LeNerd and Andrew Tang upping the party vibes.
