Here’s a local film worth checking out this holiday season: Chennai2 Singapore, a feel-good, family-friendly Kollywood film with plenty of drama, action and comedy. Produced by homegrown filmmaker Abbas Akbar and mm2 Entertainment Pte Ltd, the film was shot in Singapore, India and Turkey and brought together a cast and crew from Singapore, Malaysia and India.

The film revolves around Harish, a struggling Indian filmmaker who finds his way to Singapore in hopes of catching his big break. Instead, he gets embroiled in a series of hilarious and heartbreaking misadventures.

Abbas, who also wrote and directed this film, is well-known in the local Indian entertainment industry for his award-winning work on Mediacorp’s Vasantham channel as well as Channel 5’s BRA series. Chennai2Singapore took six years to make, and features soundtracks by celebrity music director Ghibran. The film will also be shown in India and Malaysia.

Chennai2Singapore will be released in Tamil with English subtitles on Fri, 24 Nov 2017 at Carnival Cinemas, Cathay Cineplexes & Golden Village Multiplex. Click here for more information.
