[email protected] LOOKING FOR ARTISTS
Published on 10 August 2017
Are you an artist or arts group looking for platforms to showcase your interactive performances or installations?
[email protected], in collaboration with National Arts Council (NAC), organises a wide array of arts programmes at its SAFRA clubs in Jurong, Mount Faber, Toa Payoh and Punggol all year round. It is currently accepting proposals for quality arts programmes. This is in line with NAC’s island-wide network of arts and culture nodes that aims to bring people together to participate, enjoy and experience the value of the arts where they live, work and play.
In particular, [email protected] is looking out for enriching performances or installations that will help a general audience gain a greater appreciation of music, dance, theatre and/or visual arts. The proposed programmes should comprise at least one of the following:
– An interactive performance between 45-60 minutes that is suitable for a semi-outdoor atrium environment (approx. an audience of 300)
– A visual installation that is suitable for a semi-outdoor or indoor atrium environment (approx. 1,000 visitors with a display period ranging from 1 month to 1 year)
– One or more fringe activities that complements the performance or visual installation (e.g. workshops for up to 30 people)

Each SAFRA club caters to a particular audience positioning and art genre. The proposed programme should appeal to the respective key demographic and programme direction of each club. Where possible, the residents in these neighbouring estates should also be taken into consideration as well. The allocation is as follows:
Be part of the arts revolution at SAFRA today! Submission period is from Saturday, 1 July 2017 to Thursday, 31 August 2017 (cut-off timing at 11.59pm). The engagement period is from September 2017 to March 2018. The actual date of the performances, installations, workshops and other fringe activities will be determined jointly by both SAFRA and the artist(s) upon appointment. Click here for more details.
